Come Play In Alcohol Inks with Margaret Brackley

Alcohol Inks are free flowing and vibrant feel good colours. Come and continue to enjoy the freedom of letting this amazing medium do almost all of the painting for you! You will learn various techniques on how to move this highly-pigmented and fast drying medium on non-porous surfaces. In this class you will prepare a glass pendant, different size ceramic tiles, yupo paper and turn a plain white candle into a vibrant one. All projects will be finished and sealed before end of class. Any skill level can play! All materials may be purchased from the instructor: please bring exact cash of $15.00. ONE date only for $35.00 + materials.

CHALLENGE & ANALYZE with Debbie Ottman-Smith
This workshop is designed for a single or monthly attendance. Best suited to those who wish to continue studying &/OR folks experiencing Artistic Block. While the challenges are not mandatory, they will push your artistic development in ways you can not imagine! Previously unthought of possibilities are gleaned from the analytical segments where processes and techniques are openly shared.

Mondays 7:00 - 9:00 pm 3weeks [6 hrs] beginning Feb. 18.
Fun workshops using vibrant hot wax colours and putting it all together in a luminous painting. Try an encaustic iron or stylus, embed items, blend, gouge, build up layers. Try realistic, abstract, texture, collage, mixed media. You can easily become passionate about this medium! The creative possibilities are endless. Materials provided, but bring your own to embed or collage. NOTE: If you have specific items you want to embed in the wax, they must be completely dry.
