Do you know? Making Art is fun!
This course is designed for 5-12 year old beginners who love to draw, paint, sculpture, make collages and explore different art activities in a friendly atmosphere.
Every Tuesdays for 6 weeks - 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm, or
Every Wednesday for 6 weeks - 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Beginning May 8th, 2012 until June 12th, or May 9th to June 13th

Instructor's Biography
Heather Kushum Sheedy has been teaching art to children for over eight years. She has received a diploma in Graphic Design, adult art focus programs and has received recongnison in art continually all her life, gaining expert knowledge in many different techniques. A mother of two children, ages 2 & 11, she has many years of experience in facilitating art for young children, such as a licensed day care and many children's events. She works in a friendly open minded way to guide children on their creative journey and expression with individual step by step instruction.
As an artist herself, Heather actively participates in Kingston's Arts community,i.e., Made 4 You Artisan Collective, KAC and The Agnes Etherington Art Centre. She has created her own line of gemstone jewelry and sold many pieces of artwork. Heather has been home to Kingston, Ontario for twenty years and grew up in the country before that in Orillia, On. The Art programs Heather offers at the Kingston School of Art are fun, diverse and creatively inspiring for your children.

Kids! Have Fun with Madame Pop-up! with Lise-Melborn-Boe
Learn the basic techniques of making pup-ups with Lise Melhorn-Boe. Boxes and V-folds are easy and then we'll move on to backbones, towers and floating planes. With lots of samples to look at, you’ll soon be ready to make pop-up books or greeting cards.
This workshop is suitable for children ages 8-12.
Younger students welcome if accompanied by an adult.
