Entry Requirements ...eligibility changed as of May 1, also, note registration detail changes below*. Entry is open to residents, age 18 years+, of the City of Kingston, Wolfe Island and the Frontenac Islands, and the counties of Frontenac, Lennox & Addington, and Leeds & Grenville. Participants may enter up to three works. Work in all Two-dimensional media, except photography, will be accepted. Due to space limitations, no side is to be longer than 40" including frame. *PLEASE NOTE: Participants must fill out the newly updated Artists Registration Form [below] and submit, then go to add to cart and pay. Payment Carts are at the bottom of this page beside brush illustrations, use the appropriate cart for the number of works you are submitting. The Artists Agreement page must accompany your work by drop off day or you may not qualify. This form may be picked up at the office or printed from this page [find the printable pdf forms and a brochure below, use if you do not wish to enter online] Only original works may be submitted. Copies of art by any other visual artist in any medium or classroom work which has been demonstrated on by instructors will not be allowed. All submitted pieces must have been created within 24 months of the start of the exhibition. All work must be ready to hang using "D" rings and taut wire placed not more than 1/3 from the top of the frame. No zigzag hangers, saw hooks or screw eyes please. Gallery style canvases or panels are acceptable without a frame, if all visible edges are painted or otherwise finished. Each work must be labelled on the back using the official tags, [Art-Work Identification Labels] found either here below as a pdf or attached to the brochure [find the button at the bottom right of this text]or with equivalent information; please include your name and preferred mode of contact on each piece as well. An artist statement may be submitted but will be displayed only if the artist's work is chosen for the exhibition. Please include with delivery of your artwork. go to Important Dates to remember
Submission Details & Entry Fees $20.00 for one entry / $40.00 for two entries / $50.00 for three entries To Register and Pay Online go to the bottom of this page, fill out and submit the Artist Information form then make your payment straight away, click on the appropriate ADD TO CART and follow those instructions by JUNE 1. Once this has been done you must print out your Artwork Identification Labels [AIL] and an Artist's Agreement form. [click on the pdfs below or drop in to the office]. Fill these out mounting an AIL on the back of each work, bring everything in on the date of delivery. To Register and Pay Offline by cheque [payable to Kingston School of Art] or cash, click on all of the pdfs below and either mail your cheque to the KSOA, 647A Princess St. Kingston On K7L 1E4, or drop in [do not send cash in the mail]. Bring your signed Artist Agreement and your Artist's Registration Form with your payment. The AIL will be mounted on your work and brought in on the delivery date. All artwork must be for sale. All sales will be processed by the WAG gallery. A commission of 20% of the price listed by the artist will be retained by the gallery. Accepted artwork will remain hanging until the end of the show, even when sold. The entry fee is non-refundable. The Jurors' decisions are final and will be based on artistic merit. The Juried Exhibition & Sale organizing committee and the Jurors reserve the right to decline any work deemed inappropriate.
T O R E C A P Each Registrant must submit along with payment, the UPDATEDArtist's Registration Form by June 1st. A signed Artist's Agreement page must be submitted by drop-off day along with art work entries. Along with the artist's name and preferred contact info, theArt-Work Identification Labels, are to be filled out and securely mounted on the back of each submitted piece of art work.
It is the artist's responsibility to ensure the correct label is attached to the corresponding piece of art.
