Folding paper origami cranes is a well-established Japanese tradition, symbolizing the expression of hope during difficult times. The KSOA is offering this project to people in Kingston, as a way of enabling them to create a community expression of hope during our time of struggling with COVID. The KSOA supports and encourages many different ways of making art, and origami is a fitting addition to our usual mediums. This is a project in which people of all ages can participate, and know that they have contributed to a community piece of art. It's a very positive feeling to be creating something beautiful together!
