Painted Fabric/Textiles-Colour and Pattern Workshop with Margot Miller
Create fabulous fabrics: colour, pattern and textures using environmentally friendly, stable textile dye. Learn the techniques of hand painting, leaf printing, fluid washes, marking and stamping: all ideal surface embellishment for scarves, sarongs, tablecloths, clothing, quilting and wall pieces. The dyes can be soft and subtle or strong and vibrant suitable for art pieces, fashion or interiors.

Alla Prima Portrait Workshop with Nancy Steele
This is a two day workshop in the alla prima method of wet in wet painting techniques. Topics covered are: measuring for accuracy, laying in a strong portrait foundation, structuring the block in to build the likeness to the model, applying carefully developed colour patterns, warm/cool temperature changes and effective brush work to add vitality to the painting.
Students will work from photograph references and live models.

Art You Can Walk On-Painted Floor Cloths Workshop with Margot Miller
Paint a canvas floor cloth, and when finsihed and sealed with an acrylic water base product, it becomes a decorative hard wearing, washable alternative to carpet. Floorcloths were the forerunners of linoleum. Experiment with a wonderful palette of colour, from strong and brilliant, to soft subtle hues.Using simple techniques, design your own stencil of animal prints, tribal motifs, fish, bird pattern and texture. Paint cascading flowers, real leaves, rag roses, dots and stripes.Floor cloths make wonderful place mats, pet mats, boot trays etc. and ca be used everywhere drips "happen", since they can be wiped clean.
Come and enjoy an action packed workshop for students of any level. All students will take home their own designed floor cloth...art you can walk on.

Create strikingly beautiful designs and images using vibrant, alcohol based Inks on a variety of surfaces - glass, ceramic, yupo.
Suited for any skill levels. All materials can be purchased from the instructor in workshop for $15
