Building upon the success of two previous Juried Exhibitions, the KSOA is proud to present the Juried Exhibition 2020! All local artists are invited to participate in this exciting event. This year's exhibition will showcase up to 65 artworks by local artists and will again be held at the Window Art Gallery, Victoria at Princess St.

Entry Requirements Entry is open to residents, age 18 years+, of the City of Kingston, Wolfe Island and the Frontenac Islands and the counties of Frontenac, Lennox & Addington, and Leeds & Grenville.
Participants may enter up to three works. Work in all two-dimensional media will be accepted, except photography.
Only original works may be submitted. Copies of art by any other visual artist in any medium or classroom work which has been demonstrated on by instructors will not be allowed. All submitted pieces must have been created within 24 months of the start of the exhibition. Award winning pieces from previous editions of the Juried Exhibition and Sale are not eligible for entry.
Due to space limitations, no side is to be longer than 40" including frame.
All work must be ready to hang using “D” rings and taut wire placed not more than 1/3 from the top of the frame. No zigzag hangers, saw hooks or screw eyes are allowed. No IKEA frames or equivalent. ONLY gallery style canvases or panels, not less than 1 ½” deep, are acceptable without a frame.
All artwork must be for sale. All sales will be processed by the WAG gallery. A commission of 20% of the price listed by the artist will be retained by the gallery. Accepted artwork will remain hanging until the end of the show even when sold.
Multiple panel works such as diptychs, triptychs or groupings must be framed together or secured to hang as one piece or the individual parts will be considered separate entries. The overall size must meet the stated size requirements.
Each work must be labelled on the back using the official tags that can be downloaded from the KSOA website or with equivalent information. The label file is below:
Current Board members, staff and regular instructors (within the last 6 months) of the KSOA and the organizing committee members are not eligible to enter. An artist statement may be submitted but will be displayed only if the artist’s work is chosen for the exhibition. Please include with delivery of your artwork. All artists with work accepted to the exhibition are encouraged to attend the opening reception.
The non-refundable entry fee offsets exhibition expenses and supports the goals and programming of the Kingston School of Art. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the artwork will go toward providing bursaries for children to attend our summer arts camps The Jurors’ decisions are final and will be based on artistic merit. The Juried Exhibition organizing committee and the Jurors reserve the right to decline any work deemed inappropriate.

How to enter: NOTE: You do not need to send images of your art. Online: 1. Fill out and submit the Online Registration Form, below. 2. Pay the appropriate fee using the boxes below. You may pay with credit card, or PayPal. 3. Print off, complete, and bring in with your entries the Artist's Agreement Form, below.
In person: 1. Print off and complete the printable registration form, below, and bring it with your payment (cheque payable to the KSOA, cash, or credit card) to the KSOA office. Delivery of Artwork for Adjudication: June 26, 9 am – 4 pm AND June 27, noon - 4 pm. All artwork is to be delivered to The Kingston School of Art, 647a Princess Street, Kingston, Ontario. Use the gallery entrance on VIctoria St.
Notification of acceptance by email: June 30
Pick up of declined artwork: July 2, 1 pm – 8 pm AND July 3, 9 am to noon.
Show opens to the public: July 3
Opening Reception: Saturday, July 12 from 2-5 pm. Award Presentations at 3pm
Final pick up of exhibited artwork and Purchaser pick up: July 29 from noon - 4 pm AND July 30 from 9am to noon
