Life Drawing Open Studio
Welcome to the Thursday evening life drawing!
This is an excellent opportunity to work on your observation skills and techniques with uninstructed life drawing. Easels, tables, and chairs are provided for everyone and you are welcome to bring whichever drawing media you like. We will work from a variety of models and the poses will vary in length from quick gestures to longer sustained poses.
Facilitator Nicholas Crombach will happily guide those who haven’t life drawn before and provide feedback to anyone at their request.
Please note: our drop-in rate is slightly higher to ensure that we can compensate our models appropriately while also covering our normal program costs!

Notes: SUPPLIES AND MEDIA TO CONSIDER WORKING WITH
- large pad (18x24” is ideal) of newsprint, manila or cartridge paper and brown craft paper
- Drawing Pencils white, brown & black conté willow carbon charcoal
- white vinyl eraser kneaded eraser
- wax crayons or oil pastels
- India ink with a small cup and brushes
- oil sticks magic markers pens coloured pencils
- Wet Media: You are welcome to bring wet media such as watercolours, acrylics, and inks, but NO oils. Please bring your own brushes, water containers, palette, rags, etc.
