Plein Air Inside and Out with Nancy Steele
Open to all levels working in oils and/or acrylics. We just got started it seems, in the fall and early winter to be observational artists both inside and out. One of the most delightful places found by one of our students was St George’s Cathedral, a spectacular space for painting and thinking. And after Christmas it is my hope that we will find ourselves in many other worthwhile places to paint and study the world around us. This course is about painting and drawing our surroundings while being in location. It is about finding a comfort level. Practicing and picking and discarding sometimes equipment, materials, and ideas so that we can make the experience enjoyable and relaxing. Learning to find the extraordinary in the ordinary, the rich compositions that make up our daily lives. It is about working with others to develop a sense of purpose in our art work. Hopefully you can join us Wednesday afternoons. We meet the first week at the KSOA then different location in the weeks to follow. Please bring a camera/cell phone to class. Material List
