< "Dream-Net" pencil crayon, graphite on 300 lb. cold pressed paper by Debbie.

This five week mini-course is focused not just on the pencil but the graphite inside, which comes in many forms. You will learn how to construct a creative composition by examining the rules of good design. Up the WOW factor in your work by experimenting with the vast array of drawing materials available to you. For the realist: demonstrations on achieving special effects such as glass, metal, fur, hair, and dealing with stripes and other difficult patterns. For all genres: tricks for blending graphite with coloured media without creating mud. Anyone can master the pencil, but for the novice or true beginner, I suggest enrolling in a foundational program [e.g. Anyone Can Draw or Do Art] before attending this class. Best suited to the slightly experienced artist.

Wednesdays 6:30 - 9:00 pm 5 weeks [12.5 hrs] begins May 23 ~ June 20 CANCELLED
