Of course nothing is perfect, but by focusing on the process rather than the end product, the artist can build a powerful base to support effortless looking finishing flourishes. This course is in oil paint but learning to build up a painting through process methodology crosses genres and styles.

Location: On site @ 1200 Princess Street, Providence Village.
Supplies (for students to bring): Both drawing and painting materials.
Pad of multi purpose paper for exercises and preliminary sketches 11 x 14
set of pencils or charcoal pencils, erasers etc.
a small set of watercolours/gouache paints and brushes or coloured pencils
a small container for water
Consider oils as your painting supplies as they are the paints, as they are so beautiful and buttery to use. You can use acrylics if preferred!
Paint colours: titanium white, lemon yellow or cadmium yellow, cadmium red light or another red, alizarin crimson, Payne's gray and ultramarine blue.
Filbert brushes any small medium and large brush package will work. (Can be from a Dollar Store.)
2 containers for medium and solvent that have lids and are portable. example: pill size bottles for gamsol & medium plus two larger lidded bottles.
a large gray paper palette or wooden palette, tape if needed
