Imagination Station
These lessons are designed for children to help them build on their artistic talents in a fun and encouraging environment. In these classes, students will be introduced to a variety of traditional media like acrylics, watercolours, oil pastels, collage, etc. They will learn different techniques and walk away with some creative artwork and an increased knowledge of drawing, painting, and techniques. Art of Bookmaking
Through this class, students will explore the fundamentals of bookmaking from an artist’s perspective. Students will try different methods of visual storytelling with linocuts and etching, as well as techniques to bind books by hand using a variety of recycled materials. Students will get to experiment and create their own finished book using their chosen methods. In this course, students will learn how to draw original characters and explore storytelling through art. Spectacular Sketchbooks
Join Teaching Artist Tessa Charlebois and learn the various ways sketchbooks are an artist's spectacular tool! Each student will receive their very own sketchbook, pencil set, eraser, sharpener, and watercolour set. Stop Motion 101
Join us to learn the basics of stop-motion animation and leave with your very own movie! In this course, students will learn to use Lego, clay, and found objects to make their own stop-motion films, as well as create their own mini-movie sets and learn the basics of video and sound editing! Comprehensive Crochet for Teens
Go from zero to crochet hero with this "Comprehensive Crochet" Course for complete beginners to learn to crochet. Learn how to hold the hook, how to chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, slip stitch, and increasing and decreasing stitches. You will learn the basics of reading crochet patterns starting with reading one that Facilitator Lisa Leskien created. Projects that you will create will be: a washcloth, a granny square bag, crochet in the round for an adorable bear hat, and our final project will be the student's choice where Lisa will guide you through your choice of crochet creation. In this course students with learn about creating finished paintings from sketching to finishing the canvas for hanging. Students will develop their colour mixing and composition skills, and learn to scale artwork from sketches to canvas. Students will create several finished pieces exploring different themes and subjects, including the use of colour, still-lifes, as well as student’s choice. In this mixed media-packed course, students will create art projects based on popular children's books. They will explore various mediums like acrylics, watercolors, oil pastels, etc. They will also make one large piece inspired by "Where's Waldo?" At the end of the course, students will walk away with a knowledge of various mediums and a set of artworks representative of popular wholesome books for their collection. Little Masters
In this course, students will learn about the artistic masters of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and create their own artworks inspired by the styles of these individuals. We will consider artists such as Picasso, Van Gogh, Gustav Klimt, and Andy Warhol. At the end of the course, students will have an impressive portfolio with lots of masterpieces of their own. Still Life Stage

Making Comics
"Making Comics" is an in-depth, immersive multi-week program designed to break down barriers to entry and guide creatives through the process of comic creation. Whether they are a seasoned artist looking to expand their skills, a storyteller interested in expressing themselves through the medium of comics, or a beginner inspired by pop culture, this course will be a valuable step forward on their creative journey. Drawing proficiency/experience is a bonus but truly not required; there a famous comics that are made with just stick figures.
