Donate to Kingston School of Art this Giving Tuesday!
All donations we receive will go towards our Bursary Program, which allows community members to attend our programming at a subsidized rate. This removes barriers to participation and allows individuals from the Katarokwi-Kingston community who would otherwise be unable to participate in artistic programming to attend classes at Kingston School of Art. |
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a global movement that seeks to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life. This year, Giving Tuesday falls on Tuesday 28 November. Giving Tuesady was founded to combat the consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday and instead provide an opportunity for “radical generosity.”
How much should I donate?
Any amount is appreciated! All bursaries are $250, which is the average cost of a term-length class at Kingston School of Art.
Individuals who donate the full cost of a bursary are invited to name that bursary (i.e. Organization of Kingston Women Artists Bursary). These individuals are welcome to provide recommendations for bursary stipulations (i.e. awarded to a child) but ultimately Kingston School of Art will decide who is best suited to receive any bursary, based on need and the volume of applications. We are not permitted to reveal the names of bursary recipients but will inform donees when their bursary has been awarded.
Are charitable tax receipts issued?
Yes, all donations over $25 are eligible to receive charitable tax receipts.
How can I donate?
You can find our donation page through Canada Helps. Alternatively, stop by Kingston School of Art to donate in-person or send an e-transfer to treasurer@ksoa.info.
